If Plants Could Talk

I have a tendency to pick up on the less obvious.
The first thing that caught my eye about this was the markings on one of the smaller branches that resembled the word "NO". I hope I'm not the only one who sees it. You might have to look at the larger view to see it.

Ok so this is what i was talking about (click for larger view)

One Weekend, Two Museums

Part 1: The Guggenheim (Friday Afternoon)

Last friday was my first time at the Guggenheim. I think I was more impressed by the spiraling architecture of the museum than the actual art work that it housed.

Part 2: P.S. 1 (Saturday)
This was my second time as P.S. 1. The exhibits were a bit on the morbid, gory and graphic side this time around, but there were a few fun exhibits as well. There was this one piece of work, about 10 feet in width and length and one foot high, consisting of a layer of red balloon sandwiched between two pieces of wooden lattices. It was designed in such a way that museum guests were encouraged to actually walk across the top wooden layer, on top of the layer of balloons. I was too afraid that the balloons would pop, but Danielle was gutsy enough to give it a try. Hope and I stood aside and watched, (covering our ears). Surprisingly, not one of the balloons popped as Danielle hoisted herself on to the balloon sandwich (which is what I'm going to call it because i have no other way of describing it). I wish i had taken a photo of her walking across it.

Hope and polar bear.

Hope and Danielle.
I really like how this one came out, I think the blurriness makes it even cooler
.

The next two are from just one the stairwells of the museum. I love the stairwells because they bring back memories of being in elementary school.

The cafe in P.S. 1 is lit with fluourescent pink lights.
